- Are there any studies that support laser therapy?
More than 2,500 published studies worldwide involving laser therapy, with over 100 double-blind studies published. There are several effects that have been observed with therapeutic lasers, and phototherapy in general, that make laser therapy unique among the various healing modalities available today. Photobiomodulation produces changes in oxidation/reduction status of the mitochondria which lead to substantial increases in ATP synthesis. Activation of the sodium/potassium pump alters the cell membrane permeability.
- Can my office staff perform K-Laser therapy?
Under your direct supervision, yes. We provide thorough training which covers all aspects of operating and treating patients with K-Laser. Many offices have designated a ‘laser therapy technician’ since they are so busy with K-Laser treatments. Technicians must be trained and certified, complete the online Safety Modules and receive their certificate of training completion from K-LaserUSA.Please consult your K-Laser sales representative to learn of the local regulations applicable in your area.

Contraindications include the following: direct laser exposure of the eyes; directly over a gravid uterus; directly over a known cancerous tumor , and directly over thyroid tissue.
- Can I use K-Laser on patients with metal implants?
K-Laser therapy is not a thermal treatment; it is bio-stimulatory due to photochemical reactions in cellular tissue. As such, laser therapy can be used safely over metal implants and patients with circulation and neuropathy problems.
- Is this just an expensive infrared heat lamp?
Laser light is monochromatic, coherent and collimated. The beam from the K-Laser is allowed to naturally diffuse, and it does maintain its qualities of monochromacity and coherence. Photons of laser light have numerous beneficial effects when interacting with human tissue.
